I was enjoying the story, as I usually enjoy Barbara Morgenroth's books. It had two characters I had very much enjoyed from previous books, Bel and Viva. I was at at 57% read, and it ended. The story had barely gotten off the ground, there were two eligible men, and it ended? It was an inexpensive book, but I expected slightly more than a short story. The ending came up too quickly, was too pat, and left so much unanswered. Morgenroth's books are usually detailed and well developed so this was a real disappointment. Earlier this evening, I purchased most of her newer books (I hadn't realized she had so many out at one time.) Now I'm questioning that move. Are the others all good for an hour or two, and that's all? What's worse, the other 43% of the kindle space was allotted to "samples" of the books that you should have read to get to this one, Not Low Maintenance and Unspeakably Desirable, featuring the aforementioned Bel and Viva.Product details

Another book from Barbara Morgenroth, full of dialogue, it swings along and tells the story with enthusiasm and colourful characters.
This story sparkles with hope, wit and damned fine writing. I was quickly drawn into the lives of the characters, and couldn't wait to see what happened next. Then along came Jake. My idea of a hero. Sorry I can't write more...I'm on my way to the airport to see if I can find a Jake of my own.
This is a quick, thoroughly enjoyable read. If you like your romance light and bright, sweet, but not sugary, this one's for you.
Viva and Bel are back again but this time it's their cousin's adventure. Viva attempts to working her Mating Maven magic and it starts her Lis down a unexpected path. I knew it was a tale I wouldn't forget when I contemplated skipping my ride to keep reading!
